Buffalo Tap Room & Grill HistoryBuffalo Tap Room & Grill traces its roots back to Barnaby's, a popular bar on Niagara Falls Boulevard near Sheridan Drive that started in 1984. As Barnaby's continued to grow in popularity, the name was changed to Buffalo Tap Room & Grill in 1997, to better reflect our expanding restaurant business. We included "Buffalo" in the new name to symbolize that we are a true, Buffalo born and bred, independently owned and operated restaurant. The Buffalo Tap Room & Grill menu continued to grow as well, starting with sandwiches then homemade pizza then fish fries. From the earliest days of the business, we were always committed to using the finest ingredients in our dishes. As the menu started to evolve, we then committed to doing something different on the bar side. We started incorporating micro and imported beers and ales, resulting in a total of 21 beers and ales on tap -- at least 13 of which are our own recipes, that are brewed exclusively for us. More growth called for a larger location which lead us to develop our current location on Eggert Road in 2001. Buffalo Tap Room & Grill now employs over 40 people up from approximately 10 when we started. |
